The Eden Project
Opened in 1999 through the vision and enthusiasm of Tim Smit, and
described as the 8th Wonder of the World, the Eden Project, is Cornwall’s
number one attraction, attracting over 1 million visitors every
year,
Built at the bottom of a 50m-deep crater and once one of Cornwall’s
great china clay pits, the Giant Biomes (two giant conservatories)
have become an icon, and home to a fascinating variety of plants
from all over the world, with each plant having its own story to
tell and its vital interaction with man.
With a mission to promote the understanding and responsible management
of the vital relationship between plants, people and resources leading
to a sustainable future for all the Eden Project is open daily all
year round.
Mullion Cove Hotel is located approximately one hour’s comfortable
drive from Eden and our reception staff will be pleased to assist
with helping organise ‘fast track’ entrance tickets
from the hotel.
