Springtime Breaks Cornwall
Being the most southerly peninsula in Britain Spring arrives early
on the Lizard and springtime is a very special and colourful time
to visit and take a break to this part of Cornwall.
The coastal paths, cliffs, lanes, footpaths and hedgerows are alive
with wild flowers – bluebells, daffodils, buttercups, pink
thrift, sea campion, gorse and pink sampire to name but a few. Added
to this, the many fine gardens of Cornwall are awash with exotic
blooms and subtropical plants from as early as February.
For many walkers, botanists and ornithologists, springtime is their
favourite time to visit, with the added benefits of being able to
get around very easily, and Cornwall offers a fantastic choice of
places to see all year round.
